There's a movie quote that has stuck with me long after I've forgotten the film: "Anything less than extraordinary is a waste of my time." You are someone who I think has given herself an extraordinary life, and one that is full of love in every direction. You will find your extraordinary addition to all that love. And in the meantime, you'll continue to live this beautiful life of yours.

As a thrice divorcee, I feel this. It's like my marriages have been miscarriages or stillborn babies, and I feel like people want to say, "But at least you know you can get pregnant / get married!" It's cold comfort. I feel broken in some fundamental way, that I can't sustain a viable relationship and this is a reflection on my own brokenness become manifest (which it really is in so many ways). I'm working on it. I loved this part: "Love as the force of the universe which governs the law of existence. Love like truth. Love like beauty. Love like time." I am diving deeper into these forms of love and find them quite satisfying, for the most part. And I hold Warsan Shire's words close to my heart: "My alone feels so good, I’ll only have you if you’re sweeter than my solitude." That said, there is a someone, but it's complicated and he's in Seattle while I am in Boulder and I just don't know... See Warsan Shire quote, haha.
